Mud tank is the necessary components in a complete mud system, there are shale shaker, desander, desilter, centrifugal pumps, mud agitator, mud gun on the mud system tank. The main components for the tank including hammer unions, butterfly valve, gate valve, flexible connection hose, clean gate, pipelines, lights, electric control system, hand rails, walkway, stairs, man hole and solids control equipments. Above are the main mud system tank components, sometimes there are some other components, like mud hopper, mixing pump, sun-proof cover, mud gas separator, vacuum degasser.

Degasser Vacuum-Flo 1200 is with treating capacity 1200gpm, similar with GN ZCQ270 vacuum degasser, for vacuum degasser in stock & immediate shipment, welcome to contact GN solids control. 

Unlike traditional vacuum degasser, ZCQ270 vacuum degasser is a self-contained unit. The gas-cut mud is drawn into the degasser by a vacuum created by a regenerative vacuum without centrifugal pump. Moreover, it can act as a big agitator for the drilling mud, to help the treatment for desander and desilter.

How to maintain vacuum degasser?

1.The top cap of degassing vacuum cylinder should be cleaned weekly to eliminate gas channel plugged by any wastes.

2. Cut off the power after use.

4. At operation, check the vacuum gauge frequently.

5. Drain off the water after use each time.

6. Main shaft bearing should be added sodium base grease (abut 250~300ml every other month with a lubricant injector).

7. To the vacuum pump working and lubricating condition of the bearing should be checked frequently.


There are mainly 2 type degasser used in oilfield, vacuum degasser and poor boy degasser.

Vacuum degasser is used in drilling solids control system to remove the gas such as methane, H2S and CO2 from the gas-cut mud, there are horizontal vacuum degasser, vertical vacuum degasser and atmospheric degasser.

Poor boy degasser is well control equipments, it is used to separate dangerous gas, and the vacuum degasser is used only when we need more effective and more efficient results.
